5. The Process
The previous sections were all together setting the stage for the actual process. All the relevant tools, installations and materials must be added before filling in this section.
This part is mainly of interest to fellow crafters and researchers. Please plan the structure of your documentation in advance. Think carefully of how to split the documentation of the activity into different phases and how to identify these so it makes sense.
If many steps precede the actual activity you intend to focus on, you may want to document these as separate activities first, and refer to them here. For example, for the production of a ceramic vessel, the preparation of the clay, making the vessel and decorating the vessel can be different phases of the same craft, but building the kiln for firing the vessel would be a separate craft. The distinctions will not always be that clear, but make sure it is a well thought through decision.
