Technical Requirements
The RETOLD platform is web-based, so you can use it on any device using a web browser - your office PC or Mac, a laptop, a tablet or even a phone.
Because there is a lot of text in the documentation forms, your experience will be best on a larger screen in the office, or a laptop or tablet for use in the field. If using a tablet with a camera, it is possible to take pictures directly into the application using your device’s camera.
Please be aware that we currently accept images with a maximum size of 2MB. Make sure to adjust the camera settings on your device accordingly. Additionally, some images may need to meet specific size and proportion requirements to display correctly.
Creating your digital material such as scans of documents, or 3D models, can be more complex. In this manual, we have included a checklist for getting your materials ready. See next chapter Preparing your digital material
Numerous external resources are available to help you learn about creating advanced digital documentation, including aerial photography, photo scans, and high-quality archival digital images. Since the knowledge and techniques are evolving rapidly, it's important to stay updated.
