The construction site of a castle, near the town of Friesach, is entirely devoted to the most authentic re-creation of the medieval times.

A timespan of four centuries building techniques, from the romanesque to the late gothic,is brought to life in all aspects: no modern tools or electricity are used, no modern materials will be seen on the site. Most importantly, the visitor will be able to try out medieval craftmanship: basketry, ironworking, woodcutting, masonry and others. While experiencing this techniques, guides will explain all aspects of the medieval life, including also superstitions and use of animal strenght.
