Archeopark dell’Etna (IT)
The Archeopark Etna is the first real-life prehistoric interactive village reconstructed in Sicily on the basis of archaeological documentation obtained in Sicily, in particular Etna, and experimentations in the field of lithic, textile, ceramic and agricultural crafts. A dynamic educational park, open to the public and schools, aiming to demonstrate the millenarian bond of people with the territory by means of an experiential path.
Sannai-Maruyama (JP)
The Sannai-Maruyama special historical site ((三内丸山遺跡)) features the remains of a large, long-term settlement that from the Early to the Middle Jomon period (from approximately 5,500 to 4,000 years ago).
Cyprus Perfumery Park (CY)
Κυπριακό Θεματικό Πάρκο Αρωματοποιίας - The Cyprus Perfumery Theme Park is a very large scale project that aims to create a space, in which, aside from showcasing the various ancient methods of producing perfume the visitor will be able to experience them first-hand as well. The idea for the park came with the discovery of the most ancient perfume in Pyrgos by the Italian archaeologist Maria Rosaria Belgiorno and the park is based, in big part, on this.
Archeoparc Liptovia (SK)
Civic organisation Archeopark Liptovia is a voluntary organization associating people with an interest in presentation, protection, research and education in historical, cultural, folklore, national and natural heritage of Slovakia and Liptov region.
Bacrie & Krivolik (CZ)
The association Bacrie was formed in 2007 from fans of history and archaeology. Its aim is to present and popularize prehistoric history on the territory of the Czech Republic.
The association deals with the life and technology of hunters, first farmers, bronze metal smelters and first ethnic groups – Celts, Germans or Slavs. Bacrie is engaged in research activities and its main project is the building of the Prehistoric settlement Krivolik – archaeological open-air museum and an experimental archaeological center.
Basotho Cultural Village (ZA)
A visit to the Basotho Cultural Village, which nestles at the foot of huge sandstone mountains in the Eastern Free State, will give you a deeper insight into the lifestyle of the South Sotho from the 16th century to the picturesque present. The Basotho Cultural Village is part of the Golden Gate Highlands National Park.
Aktopraklık Höyük Açıkhava Müzesi ve Arkeoloji Okulu (TR)
The Aktopraklık Höyük Open-Air Museum and Archaeology School is run by the Istanbul University Department of Prehistory. The foundation of this cultural heritage management project is the archaeological evidence from the excavation conducted at the prehistoric mound of Aktopraklık.
Town Creek Indian Mound (US)
A visit to Town Creek Indian Mound offers a glimpse of pre-Columbian life in Piedmont North Carolina. The visitor center contains interpretive exhibits, as well as audiovisual programs that bring alive a rich cultural heritage from the buried past. Self-guided tours of the rebuilt structures and mound and other group activities are available.
Historical Park (BG)
In today's Bulgaria there are over 40 000 cultural and historical monuments, amongst which are significant prehistoric findings, Thracian tombs, objects from the Ancient Greek Age, Roman fortresses, monuments from the First and the Second Bulgarian Kingdom as well as other architectural landmarks from the period of the Renaissance.
Skupina STIK (SI)
Skupina STIK is a group of archaeologists that created a centre for experiential archaeology, called ARHEOFAKT. The centre represents a department within the cover research institute and is involved in reconstructions and presentations of life in the past. Our mission is the popularisation of experimential archaeology and archaeology in general.
