Hjerl Hedes Frilandsmuseum (DK)
In a large nature area, in the middle of Jutland, an ethnographic open-air museum is situated, Hjerl Hedes Frilandsmuseum. Their purpose is to have, maintain, develop and communicate its collection of things and knowledge about building style, the history of the village, the crafts and the cultural landscape.
Lough Gur (IE)
For a BBC movie about Lough Gur, one of the Neolithic houses was reconstructed but already in 1990 was long gone. Nothing reminded of the reconstructed dwelling (Ahrens 1980, 91-92).

Archéosite et Musee d'Aubechies - Beloeil (BE)
The area of Blicquy-Aubechies is near the source of the River Dender in Hainaut. This has been a pleasant region to settle for centuries. Excavations have produced a clear image of what happened here since about 5000 BC.
Samara (FR)
The Samara, an environmental and reconstruction park was realised by the Ministry of Culture, the Picardy province and the bank Credit Agricole. It had a predecessor at the Val d’Aisne. One of the reasons to establish this museum was the creation of employment by means of tourism – the Somme area has a long history of unemployment.
The Lakeside Village of Dispilio (GR)
The lakeside village of Dispilio is 8 kilometres from Kastoria. Although the archaeological site is known since the 1930s, systematic excavations started in 1992, by Professor Nikos Hourmouziadis of the Aristotle University, Thessaloniki.
