  • Authentic Historical Buildings: The museum features over 25 historical buildings, including farmhouses, cottages, barns, and workshops, many of which were transported from various parts of Funen and reconstructed in the museum. These buildings are restored and furnished to reflect the rural lifestyle of the 19th century, showcasing the homes of farmers, craftsmen, and labourers.
  • Living History: The museum often hosts reenactments and demonstrations of traditional activities, including blacksmithing, weaving, cooking, and farming. These interactive elements allow visitors to see how villagers produced goods, tended to animals, and cultivated the land. Staff dressed in period costumes help bring the village to life.
  • Agriculture and Animals: True to its rural theme, the museum keeps livestock typical of 19th-century farms, such as cows, pigs, horses, and chickens. These animals are part of the working farm environment, and visitors can observe them in their natural surroundings, adding to the authenticity of the village setting.
