The Rheinisches Freilichtmuseum Kommern (Rhineland Open-Air Museum Kommern) is one of Germany’s largest open-air museums, located near Mechernich in the Eifel region of North Rhine-Westphalia. Established in 1961, the museum preserves and showcases the rural life, culture, and architecture of the Rhineland over several centuries. It features a wide array of historical buildings, exhibits, and living history demonstrations that offer visitors a detailed look at the region’s rural heritage.
